Free, or Paid Hosting?

With so many different types of web hosting companies with a variety of web hosting plans to choose from, it is not surprising to me if any one took more than one month to decide which web hosting plan from which hosting companies to sign up for. As far as web blogging goes, there are two extreme choices for any Internet user to select from, which are paid or free hosting.
Today let us review which one is a better choice under different scenarios and conditions: Free or paid, either option is good depends largely on your website needs and requirements.
If you wish to create a website for your own personnel use, then getting a free hosting service from some of the web hosting company which offer free hosting for a predefined duration is good enough for the start. However if what you are looking for is a website to promote your online business, then you may want to reconsider the free hosting plan although it may sounds to be very attractive to sign up for, but it would be wise to study what are packaged in the free hosting plan before signing up for it.
If you wish to have control over your own website in terms of what to post and update for, then getting a paid hosting with dedicated or shared server is likely to make more sense in this case. Under a free hosting plan, one is often being restricted with what you can put on your site and how the updates can be carried out, there is only some limited degree of flexibility where the users are given to when it comes to free hosting plan.
There will be a mass display of advertisements and banners on your free website which you have no control of, because these advertisements have paid for your free web hosting after all. Anyway you need to figure out precisely if these pop-up advertisements and banners are distracting your business or are driving away your customers by any chance. If you do not mind about these pop up marketing icons at all, then you are fine to stay with the free hosting plan. However if you are promoting your website products professionally, then with the tons of advertisements which keep on appearing on your site, your business might get distracted at times which may lead to swaying away of your visitors from your site to elsewhere which are of less distractions.
If you are looking for some good wealth of choices to facilitate your website creation and implementation, such as : more storage space, more bandwidth, higher security, greater reliability, higher data speed and great flexibility, then the paid hosting is the right choice for you as free hosting will not offer any of these to their users unless with a high cost. Furthermore, there are a lot of restrictions which the free hosting subscribers have been imposed on, leaving them handicapped when it comes to business or site expansion for there are no rooms for such enhancements under the restrictions of a free hosting provider.
